Wow - what a brutal way to destroy something like that so callously.

I understand that a cake like that is for display and I have read that they usually provide a second cake, a sheet cake, for people to cut and serve.

Whoever hated the placement of the lights should just have said so - that cake had to have cost a small fortune and it's now trashed - a waste of money, time, energy and food.

The article included that Buddy's clients have paid up to $100,000 for a cake. SERIOUSLY? $100,000?!

This is terrible. What a waste! If they knew they weren't going to eat it, they should have just bought cake from the damn grocery store and donated the $100, 000 to whatever charity they were supporting. Fools!

What is the point of these cakes? Why buy a cake that expensive when it's basically inedible? Most of it is hardware or fondant and the microscopic cake part is probably stale considering the time it sat around before they put everything together.

A scale model would have done the same and would last longer.
