But wouldn't it be nice if all mayors could just wave a magic wand and make money problems disappear like that?

I just watched that episode and I was very encouraged by their employees. The one's featured on the show at least. They were wonderful. And it was beautiful what the Mayor was able to do for them at the end.

Well, it is like that in most red states. That is how must one must "earn their way" right? Everything is cut back and it is basically a free for all third world. The rich get richer and the middle class/poor see none of it.
