In all honesty, I think you picked on the wrong guy in this show. I don't even remember the joke you mention because I know that in comedy there is always going to be something I don't like, so I quickly forget those.
But what I really hate in comedy is when someone is consistently unfunny, and Aleca Baldwin surprises me that he is funnier then most stand-up comedians. I found him to be brilliant in his first MR episode. In MR, I find Jerry Seinfeld and Tom, the ref, to be the least funny guys; they seem to be too concerned with being "nice", while their guests are much more honest.
Maybe the biggest problem with the show is that they are not striking a good balance between comedy and "problem". My favorite "problem" was the retired couple who is arguing about whether they should retire to Amish country or LA. It's light hearted, yet real. I would never be able to live in Amish country so I can identify with that; and many others would not be able to live in LA either. An interesting problem, in which there are no dead people or outright psychotic issues to deal with. And above all, no one needs to feel terribly ashamed - not the couple in question, and neither should we for seeing all the "dirt". And the judgment was funny: to shut his wife up, they should move to LA. That's the type of material they should choose otherwise the show will vanish soon.
