shareI would totally disagree I thought it was vapid poorly-acted and formulaic. (Do *all* French really live in Parisian apartment buildings with winding staircases? Does *every* 13-year have problems with precociousness, parental alienation and anomie? Does *every* older Japanese male have access to unlimited financial resources?
Of course my disappointment may have been caused in part by its description in a local paper of it being a "comedy" (in the French sense of comedie?) but to me it was just a Gaullic version of pretentious Hollywood crap (result of globalization?).
A definite pass.
