Interesting thought...because I didn't think he finished either, but when watching that scene how I wish he had! But that's another matter altogether.
He didn't really need to finish to get her pregnant. There is sperm in precum sometimes and not to get too technical, Spartacus hadn't been with a woman in long time before he had sex with Ilithia, so therefore chances are likely he was spraying a little semen due to the build up.
