Did you notice the romans are all smirking jerkwads?

I've heard about the great characters & acting in this show, but I'm into S3 and not buying it.

Its ok, but let's just say subtlety was left in the supply room when they put this thing together. There isn't a single decent roman, other than the old guy who lost everything, in the cast.

After a while, you come to appreciate the arch bad guy Glaber a bit, simply because he alone isn't smirking his way thru every episode.

I suppose this project is, at bottom, a comic book and as such, not to be held to higher standard. But let's not compare to Vikings, let alone GoT, which are both vastly superior.
