well I know that now. They're cancelling this for a spin off of Law and Order? Do we really need another law/crime show? ugh.
shareI agree. I can see them dropping Trauma because it struggled from day one but Mercy was holding up pretty well until recently (partly due to the change in time slot). Anyway, that was the ONLY thing worth watching on NBC.
shareWe gotta keep up with petitions- spread the word. Do everything in your power. Sign any mercy petition you find, talk to people. Call nbc. Go online and make a facebook page about it. If you really love the show, you can save it. It happened with Chuck, SOuthland, Friday Night Lights- its not over.

shareMercy was pretty good. I started out just hoping for an ER replacement, and while it turned out to really be nothing like ER, it grew on me pretty quickly in its own right. So I'm really sorry to hear about this cancellation. I will definitely sign any petitions I can find. Maybe someone will else will pick it up if NBC won't reconsider.
You're right about Southland and others that were saved. It may not be too late. Plus, Southland really belongs on a cable network like TNT, so that worked out for the best IMO. Maybe Mercy will "luck out" and find itself a better home, as well.
It sucks that they would end the show this way. Like giving the finger to the remaining viewers. WHY can't writers -- especially on shows that are iffy for renewal -- write endings that would be satisfactory in case of cancellation?
