I think it's time to start asking other tv networks to pick Mercy up.

Who's with me?
Obviously NBC doesn't deserve to have Mercy if they want to let it go to waste like that. I've written to ABC and CBS and will keep trying. Honestly Mercy is my favourite show right now and its heart breaking to know that NBC would do such a thing. I can't even believe they canceled Heroes, which happened to be one of my favourites as well. All in all I hope we can get ABC's or CBS's attention because right now without Mercy, everything just sucks.

I agree and I would even try Fox and TNT. Any place that will take Mercy is A1 in my book.

I think you guys are right, it looks like NBC is throwing away all their good shows. Like in 2009: Medium, here everybody loves that show, we watch it over and over again. And now Mercy, I think they have gone mad, and they expect a show to have ....viewers, but the first one always have low ratings.

Since the internet many shows have low ratings cause people download it, can't they see that? Everybody does it, because they are too many things to watch. Here on 1 night 3 shows: Desperate Housewives, Mercy and NCIS. 1 thing you can tape, one thing you can watch but what can you do about the other show?

I think Mercy deserves more. Because it's beautiful, it makes you laugh, cry and it gives you a great evening after a hard day. That's what we need.

Medium got lucky, bc it belongs to cbs anyway. just like ghost whisperer was an abc studio's product but abc didnt want it. try nbc by asking them if bravo or usa can take it- they both belong to nbc universal anyway. i dont think tnt or tbs has the budget right now to take on any more shows they barely renewed southland and hawthorne was an iffer. also fx just canceled damages so they might have some budget and room for mercy and plus with nip/tuck gone they need some new hot docs.

This show would be great on Lifetime or Oxygen.

I agree! I was angry when NBC cancelled Crossing Jordan without wrapping things up for us! Then they do this to Mercy?! Its enough to make me give up NBC altogether! They have axed so many shows I love - Criminal Intent, L&O ...

I agree with TNT as a good choice for Mercy - they seem to embrace strong, female characters who are controversial (the Closer, Saving Grace (I can't believe I just said that about SG!)Rizzoli & Isles)

I also like Oxygen and Lifetime for this show!

So, how do we get this moving?

So what are the chances now of it being pick up by another network?

reply

I agree and I so wish it gets picked up by another network! I love this show. I am a nurse myself and I know it's not exactly like that (to be a nurse) but it still does have a lot of things one can relate to and I have just been waiting for sooo long for a show that shows nurses that more than just some server to the doctor (which they are not at all!). So sick of seeing always just shows about doctors, where it's ALL about the doctors.

So show me where to sign! :)

It's ratings folks. It didn't pull in the ratings to make it attractive to another network. It sucks sometimes when a show you and a few people think are good and the masses don't. But that's how it works. Think about SouthLAnd, it was canned by NBC, but it had the ratings and the mightiest of backlashes. it was picked up mostly based on the hate for Jay Leno.
And Remember Firefly got a movie based on DVD sales. Which i don't think Mercy will have as good a numbers. It's dead, you should move on and support an new medical show. Lord knows there will be 50 new ones in the fall.

It's ok to like a movie, ok to love a movie, when you obsess about it I question your sanity.

"Mercy" had very good ratings at the beginning and it the end, they weren't even terrible. NBC kept preempting it without warning. They were looking for an excuse to cancel it.

Umm, you have got to get some hobbies. If "everything sucks" for you because a tv show was canceled, then I really feel sorry for you. And, it's "heart breaking?" Ok.

forgotten...and don't you forget it

LOL. First of all, I was writing that on impulse because I was pretty angry they canceled it. It was "heart breaking" because I was attached to the characters/storyline so REEELAX. It's called exaggerating, which happens to be human nature -_-. If you really felt the need to criticize me for telling people the way I felt about them canceling Mercy, then I feel REALLY sorry for you. Plus it's been how many months since I've posted on this thread? and you just happen to comment now? Chill out.

Seek help. I would delete your original post, looks sad. I'd hate to see how you react when the mail is late. Plus, I just read your post the same night I replied. That is kinda how message boards work.

Users like you are so irritating, there's no point in saying anything. Hope you're satisfied knowing you completely wasted my time and your own.
