Caught On DVD

I catch some stuff I otherwise would not on DVD, mostly from the library. Caught this show that way, though I vaguely remember it being on.

Overall, I thought it a good show and enjoyed that there were various continual story arcs that flowed from show to show. James LeGros' character was good though had less playing time when the teen heartthrob doctor came on the show (a sort of Baby House). The drama got to be a bit much at times but all things considered, there was a lot of good scenes. I also basically liked each of the three nurses, the lead strong enough to carry her character (age-wise, she was a bit too young, but that's fairly normal on these shows).

There were also various good guest stars including the senior Gilmore girl in a sad subplot and Mary Stuart Masterson, who some might remember her from 1980s teen movies, playing Veronica's therapist. The drama got to be a bit crazy after awhile, including some connection to the mob but the characters kept me interested. As to the DVD, nice to have the nurses provide a commentary of a key episode. And, Michelle T. skating in a scene reminds me of her role as a science nerd who falls in love with ice skating. Check that out - good film.

[edit: Oh. I liked the New Zealand doctor ... she had a nice level-headed view of things & I'd like to have seen more of her. Her finding the cat was so cute.]
