Man tonights Canada episode.....

It sure did feel like a series finale. Did it not get picked up?

reply

Not yet.

It most likely is the series finale. The show hasn't been picked up yet and i doubt it will be. This was filmed two years ago. They filmed 23 episode and divided it into two seasons. If I'm not mistaken it had something to do with the show not getting any financial support after 5, or 6 seasons. After that the show would become much more expensive to make.

If it was the series finale, it was amazing. I can live with it going out like that.

reply

I hope it isn't but i agree that it was good enough to live with if it is.

reply

Better than a lot of shows get. Everyone was happy. Well...mostly

reply

Really? I thought it was a bit of a cop-out episode, I would preferred something other than the cliche wedding ending.

I also think there should have been much more to do with them becoming T.Os earlier - I mean come on 6 years under the title of 'rookie' blue. They stopped being rookies after their 2nd year, maybe even earlier. The show had so many directions it could have gone but just seemed to back out of taking a leap of faith. I really enjoyed it all, and think they could make a few spin-off mini series'.

reply

It could have gone in 87 different directions, but if they don't get renewed, I'm satisfied with the cliche wedding ending. I'm a romantic at heart. I prefer everything to be happy, which it was. The only thing I would have liked to have was a scene with Dov and Chloe. The last we saw of them was the kiss in the parking garage and then a throwaway comment about him taking her to the wedding.

I did like the scene when McNally had the bouquet, called out Price by name, and threw it directly to her!

reply

I missed that, dang it. I'll have to go watch the end of it again.

reply

The bouquet handing scene was quite good indeed.

Here's a question, when Oliver gave the wrong ring over during the ceremony was it a blooper or scripted?

I get the impression he did it as a laugh and they just left it in as McNally went with it.

reply

The rest of it was cliche, why not the ending

On one hand, I'd been sad if they do end the show, but on the other if it had to end I feel like I'd be okay with them ending it with that finale. I'd rather they end it on a good finale that brings closure, than for them to get cancelled and leave us with an annoying cliffhanger!
