Why do they blame Correy Booker so much?

I was watching last night new episode where they raided the projects and arrested the drug dealers. At the townhall meeting, Ras Baraka, complain that they busted into the homes of people and had no plan for the children left behind in the household that depended on these people to get to school. People in the townhall started to cheer him on.

I sat there with disbelief.

Ras Baraka and the Booker haters on the show seem to find fault in everything that is done. They don't seem realistic. I'd like to see them do more problem solving than complaining.

Let's see how Baraka fairs now that he's in city council.

If a child is found unattended or there is no one in the house after being arrested, the child is turned over to children services. That's any city plan for taking care of minors that have no one in the household

I'm asking why Ras thinks the cops should have a plan to get the kids to school the next day or the day after. That's not the responsibility of the cops. And if he felt it was so important why didn't he create a plan.

You can't be on the screen talking about you want more cops on the corner because the gangs are doing "Red october" but then complain when the cops take down a infamous drug filled project. You can't have it both ways.

I think Ras Baraka as shown on the show is just full of rhetoric and has his own agenda. I think maybe in his role in public office he will have effect on policy to a degree but this season isnt at that point. In role as a activist/principle of a HS as shown on season 2, he has very little impact to the policy of the mayor.

Ok I was also reallllly surprised at the way he can be blamed for every last little thing. I mean it's to the point of absurdity.

On the whole, he does an excellent job, and works ridiculously long hours. There's nothing he won't do, nothing he thinks is beneath him. It's really amazing to watch. If everyone did their job (whatever it is) with this level of commitment the world would be frickin perfect. Heck I'm going to start working this hard at my job, effective immediately.

I think there's something in the whole let's-all-blame-authority mentality that Baraka knows he can tap into.

You see it in Jayda, right from the start, when she's shocked that there's a warrant out for her arrest... says she only fled the first time b/c "they were coming down on her so hard" or something similar.

Because it's easier, then blaming themselves which lies the real fault in life, many of these people are losers and can't take a winner like booker and dare I say it, Gary McCarty.

Jayda I don't think realized how bad she busted up that girls mouth and I would have given her a year of probation instead of 3 years because she is not a banger anymore and is a needed mentor in that city, having a felony on her record serves NO purpose at all (not like she served time for a felony), it can hinder her from getting housing and public benefits, a business loan, DYFS (family abuse services), and let's face it, a carry permit as she might need one in the future for writing that book.

If more people worked hard like Booker, we would have a Swiss clock economy instead of this slacker, crappy Walmart economy where everything is cheap including life.

Spoiler alert for them spoil sports out there! Y'all like spoiled milk, stop crying over it!
