No way!!!!!

THEEEE worst trailer ever. I have seen some really really really bad trailers. But this is just beyond anything. I can not believe in this world someone would give money to make this and I can not believe any sane or even insane person would actually spend an hour and half to sit through this.

I haven't seen the trailer but I have seen the whole film and we loved it. It wasn't as hilarious as East is East but it was amusing, and we thought it was far more poignant.
I guess it depends what you want from a film, but we really enjoyed it and it seemed to get a good reception in the cinema we saw it in.
We would happily watch it again.

I prefer Imaginality to reality.

I saw the trailer a while back, and thought it looked OK but it wasn't going to be high up on my "must see" list. Saw the film today and enjoyed it, the rest of the audience sounded like they were having a good time watching it too. Definitely more depth in this one, and less obvious humour, but still plenty of funny bits where everyone was laughing.

I agree that West is West is more poignant. Just finished watching it; initially I was disappointed because it lacked the cutting humour of East is East which made that a comedy with fine observations on culture clashes and healing. West is West started out as trying to emulate East is East but found its own stride by focusing on Mrs Khan number 1 and the sorrow of her relationship. When Mrs Khan number 2 arrived in Pakistan the film really found its stride. The conversation, across languages, between the two Mrs Khans made me cry.

Keep silent unless what you are going to say is more important than silence.
