Salmon phishing about the yemen

I recently saw Salmon Fishing in the Yemen, I couldn't help myself from bursting out laughing when the initial email about the sheikh and the project that Fred received was being typed. This was because it reminded me of a typical phishing email.
i.e. I have a client with a lot of money we need your help to make sure that money is put to good use. etc.

I don't know whether it was meant to resemble that because of the film's fishing plot, or whether it was just me connecting dots that were just separate dots. But I found it quite amusing and I'd say I was chuckling about that to myself for a little while.

Anyone else create that connection?
