Me neither, but I'm thrilled that it did! So happy that more people will now be aware of this lovely film.

Salmon Fishing in the Yemen is one of my favorite movies of this year. It's hilarious, touching, and truly has something to say. I'm super syked that it was remembered 9 months later by the Golden Globe members for Best Picture (Comedy/Musical), and also for the lead actors Ewan McGregor and Emily Blunt. If you haven't seen this hidden gem - you must! It's going to make you smile for a very long time to come.

I agree that it's a hidden gem. I had my doubts about watching it (I got it from my library), but was pleasantly surprised. Kristen Scott Thomas should have been nominated for supporting actress, I thought she was that good! Now I'd like to read the book.

Quality film. Very interesting storyline, decent character development. Ewen and Emily were terrific.

From what I've read, it seems the movie was horribly marketed. That happens at times. Still, I enjoyed the movie more far more than most.
