McGregor and Blunt so Charming, movie so Boring

I think I'm actually going to watch the whole thing though just because of how engaging the leads are.

I haven't seen Ewan McGregor in anything for awhile and I always forget how lovely he is. Emily Blunt though i have seen in several movies over the past year and every time she impresses me with how natural her acting is and utterly compelled I always am.

I haven't seen that she's had to challenge herself yet but I think she's going to do some great things one day soon.

Do I understand you haven't seen the movie yet but you think it's boring?

I didn't find it boring - it held my interest, even though the subject is (deliberately) obscure and I really only rented it b/c I watch all of Ewan's films that I can. I enjoyed all of the characters and thought the film had interesting things to say about faith and modern life. In short, I dug it and it was funny too.

I had to smile at the bedroom scene with Fred and his wife. Ewan has really pushed the envelope of male sexuality in current cinema, but this scene is totally antithetical to that!

Nah, i think I was about half an hour in when I wrote that. I was finding it very boring, but Blunt and McGregor charming enough to keep watching.

For what it's worth, I did stick it out because of the leads and I'm glad I did.

I don't think it was boring, I actually thought they had a pretty interesting premise, they didn't seem to want to do anything much with it. So yes, the the leads plus KST are the real reasons to watch the movie.

I agree. Both are charming and very natural. I love this movie. Simple movie with simple message. Simplicity is beauty.
