Fame 50 years on

I was visiting my mum recently and thanks to the storms we were without internet and television. She lent me a bunch of DVDs to watch and Quartet was one of them.

The opening sequence reminded me of the opening sequence from Fame (1980) - The camera moved from room to room with people practising/auditioning. The only difference was in Quartet they were 50 years older.

I wasn't really expecting to like Quartet but, aside from a few annoyances, I really enjoyed it.
