Who played the American priest?

I don't see the character listed in the credits. Any help?

Joe Terranueva...Dear Friend of Martin Sheen and a deeply religious Catholic. A wonderful person and someone who has raised funds for Cathedral High School and other schools in Los Angeles. He is well known in Los Angeles as a hair stylist who paved the way for the salon craze starting in the 70's. He is very well known. Funny his name is not in the credits....I just saw the film today....loved the film. I am sure it was an oversight...or Joe refused to be paid....

"Padre Frank" was played by Matt Clark. I knew I recognized him from a previous movie. He played the old west bartender in Back To The Future III.

Also played the Secretary of Defense in Buckaroo Banzai.

I know this is of absolutely no consequence, but your post made me smile. I have been planning on doing the pilgrimage forever. I am currently watching the scene with that priest (and the movie for the first time) and I loved his character. I read your post and couldn't help but feel elated - being that my name is Matt Clark. :-)
