Why cremate?

This was an environmentally-unwise decision. It took energy to burn the kid up. The dad should have had the son dried with spices, like jerky, since the kid was a jerk to begin with. We have all heard the phrase, "Son-dried tomatoes", and the father should have remembered it to get some food for his journey.

He could have shared, too. Offering a "piece of ass" to a stranger can turn him into a friend. Or "lending and ear" can often do the same.

Strategic cannibalism can end the homeless and the hunger problem with one program.

Not to mention the countless opportunities to do the "Week-end at Bernie's" bit.

Hell it would have been the most father/son bonding that Martin's character would have in years. Then of course there's the whole converstation starter...

"Hey mister, I couldn't help but notice you have a dried out young man strapped to your back with a few bites taken out of him, what's that all about?"

Soylent green is people. How's that for strategic cannibalism?

The EU has strict regulations about converting humans into food, and then about transporting human jerky from one country to another.
