He was my favorite character in the film, because of his quiet and understated kindness and compassion.

Agree. Likeable and kind and the reason that the group came to be.

I like to watch movies when using the treadmill. Do not know if I would do it otherwise.

Martin Sheen was born 5 years before the end of
WW2.(Boomers 45 to 64)
So Sarah always calling him Boomer was less than accurate. But the fact it's one of my all time fav movies I let it go.

Sarah was wrong about much of how she saw him at the start. And he let it all slide. That's more to the point.

What can be asserted without evidence can also be dismissed without evidence.

Martin Sheen may have been born 5 years before the end of WWII, but his character was meant to be a bit younger. Hence, the "Boomer" nickname was accurate.
