Really?

I'm about half an hour in to my first viewing of The Wanda Syke's Show and so for the entire half hour has just been her making fun of weird news stories... Is this really all there is to the show? My tv guide mentions 3 guests, but I've never heard of any of them... Is every week just going to be her doing a monologue for an hour by making fun of quirky news stories infront of a big screen that flashes pictures of whatever story she's talking about? I know that the odd sketch is thrown in, but do they really think people are going to tune in to watch this? If this was all they wanted to do, why not just do a half hour show? Obviously she can't carry a full half hour show by herself.

That being said, the only style of comedy she seems to be capable of is talking like a "mad black woman" to steal a phrase from Tyler Perry... Her first guest tonight was some other guy that just talked like a "mad black man". It might be funny to see 30-60 seconds of this kind of comedy in a half hour long weekly sitcom, but again, it CAN'T carry an entire hour long show!
