Glad I Gave It A Second Chance!

I really liked the second and third episode. Its really not that bad.

I know! I didn't like it at all at first but when comparing it to other shows on ABC's Wednesday Comedy Block that are really raunchy and bad, Hank is a very good, wholesome, family show. It's funny without being inappropriate. I tried Modern Family and it's just too inappropriate for my liking. Hank is much better.

However, in a way I feel like its only going to last maybe 2 seasons. I like Back To You much better.

Unfortunately, I bet it might not even last till the end of the season. It is the only new comedy on Wednesday that ABC didn't order a full season for:(

yes i did love back to you as well..i think a lot of people did. But I agree that this show is good and more family oriented than other shows, and I like that. It's rare today. i really hope it does alright.

I think Hank is a much more likeable character than Chuck Darling ever could have been, and that was Back To You's biggest downfall. Really, neither Chuck or Kelly were all that wholesome in the final analysis; both had their dark side. Kelly might have been a little closer to Deborah Barone than Chuck was to Frasier, but it was difficult to imagine either actor playing somewhat naughtier characters than they did in the past.

Tonight as I watched Hank, I got the feeling the producers(and Kelsey Grammar is one of them)were going for a kind of Frasier-marries-Roz vibe, and it seemed to work. Melinda McGraw has been unfairly criticized for being bland and scratchy-voiced, biut on tonight's show, she came alive. The line about "skinning [Grady] alive and using his ribs as a ladder" was inspired, and she delivered it perfectly. Somebody compared her to Maris Crane, but she's really a mongomous Roz Doyle. If you look at her that way, Tilly makes perfect sense. I never really understood why Frasier and Roz never really hooked up, at least not until now.

Kelsey Grammer needs to be Frasier, and there's nothing wrong with that. Everybody who tuned in to the first show was probably expecting that, just like they were when Back To You premiered. They really didn't get it with BTY, but it's here now. The show has found its' groove, and it would be really shortsided of ABC to cancel it now.

That's my 2 cents. Your opinion may differ, and your mileage may vary.

What do you mean by "love back to you"? Sorry, I don't get it.

Kelsey was on a series called 'Back to You'... (co-starring with Patricia Heaton). I think the poster above was saying they loved that series...back to you. :)

Oooooohhhhh, thanks. Because they didn't capitalize the title or anything like that I didn't know what they meant. Thanks for clearing that up.:)

I agree! The first episode was decent, I missed the 2nd one and then picked up the last 2. It's really not bad. I've tried "The Middle" twice because I'm from Indiana but not only did it make us look like out-of-touch losers but it just isn't funny.

Will I revolve my evening around Hank? No. But if I'm home, I'll definitely watch as long as it's going.

I like it also. They only ordered 8 episodes, so I hope it doesn't get cancelled.
