Lots of people in multiple relationships

Is it just me, or were a significant number of the main characters involved in multiple relationships? Let's see:

* Olivia was married to Mark, but started having an emotional affair with Lloyd.
* Demetri was engaged to Zoey, but slept with Janis to conceive a child.
* Janis was in a brief relationship with a woman after the blackout, but slept with Demetri to conceive a child.
* Nicole was making out with some guy during the blackout, but developed a relationship with Bryce, and possibly later with the guy who saved her.
* Bryce started a relationship with Nicole, but ended up with Keiko.
* Simon banged some random woman on the train, then later banged some other woman.

I wouldn't call many of those relationships as such...

Demetri and Janice sleeping together was solely about conceiving a child. they'd been friends since training (and implied longer by her mention of enrolling because a friend did) and one wanted a baby and the other to leave some kind of legacy due to presuming he would die

Janice had a brief relationship with a woman yes, but quickly ended it when they clearly wanted different levels of commitment

Simon was clearly far more interested in one night stands than relationships, neither woman appeared interested in anything more than that either

really the show included a variety of types of 'relationships' without being particularly judgemental about any of them, which is a refreshing change
