She actually thinks AIDS is a state of mind? What a nut job! I wonder if she thinks cancer is a state of mind too. or the flu. or arthritis.

I certainly don't want to defend Scientology or the notion that AIDS doesn't really exist, but even the famed gay intellectual Michel Foucault (who lived in San Francisco, I believe) considered AIDS a social construct. Granted, he died of AIDS in the early 80's before it was fully understood!
But if Elfman opposes, for example, sex education and condom distribution in Africa (because it's just in their minds), then I will definately have a problem with her opinions on the AIDS issue.
