Primetime TV has a long history of cancelling quality shows too early (arrest development, Freaks n Geeks stick out in my mind)

TV decisions based on money and a poorly developed "ratings" system sucks!!!

This wasn't quality....The Middle, Modern Family, Community - they are the quality tv shows of this year. Hank, Accidentally on the Purpose are the dreck.

This show was far from quality. I was a fan of it at first, but it just went to trash at the end. Good it at least ended with the birth...story finished with the series that way. I did not really want to see them going through the whole parent thing at the end.

I thought it was pretty ridiculous too, the story has good premise and Jenna Elfman was very funny! I don't like Modern Family.

There are only about 10 tv shows that I really like and this was one of them. The scripts were actually funny, not like Community, The New Adventures of Old Christine and Corner Gas. It makes me wonder who's in charge.

okay, I know that it has been a while since ya'll last wrote on this board but i have to say, I LOVED Accidentally on Purpose, it was a show that said no matter what your consequences are there is a chance for love and happiness if you just let it happen. Shows like that don't come around often and this one did it in a funny way. My mom and I do NOT get along for the most part but we actually bonded over this show. I'm grateful that it was on and I'm pissed that it was canceled. I love watching shows like Glee, Huge, Law & Order Special Victims Unit and other hit shows so its not like i just like stupid shows that will never make it. I'm a fan of quality tv and Accidentally on Purpose was the epitome of quality.

Yeah I have to admit I'm really bummed out about this. I realize the laugh track was annoying and a lot of the dialogue was tired. However, there was something about Jenna and Jon that I found really compelling. The character Davis was hilarious, despite being slightly 2-dimensional. I think if CBS had given it a chance it could have been good. It definitely was better than Two and Half Men.

And as a side note: Modern Family is really funny, but The Middle bores me. Since everyone else was sharing their opinion, I figured I'd throw it out there.

Damn I really liked this show! I was never a fan of Jenna Elfman until this show came out. I thought she was pretty funny in this show. My favorite character was Davis! He was great! Sucks that it was canceled!
