How, the #@+%, did this dumpster fire get the green light?

NBC board room, circa March 2009: "We need to get back to our formula. We need a 'Friends' for 2010. Let's get some relatively unknown actors, put them in New York City, and hilarity will ensue! Oh, and let's add a laugh track, too."

Wow. Incredibly derivative and more so, really bad. The networks kill brilliance like "Arrested Development" and allow merde like this to debut. Argh!

Your subject line will end up being funnier than the entire 3 episodes this show gets to air. I do however apologize for comparing your words to this show in any regard.

Well put! I agree 100%. I really wanted to love this show based on what I read about it, but I couldn't even watch the whole thing. Bummer.

Sometimes you win.
Sometimes you lose.
Sometimes it rains.

Eh, it was only the first show. Seinfeld sucked in the first season also before it found it's niche. Of course, I don't think this show will last past mid-summer because the networks don't know how to let a show find its feet before canceling them. It looked like it might have some potential, maybe just a teeny bit. I'll watch another episode or two before making a judgment on it.

I don't find this show any worse than 30 Rock or P&R. So I'm still curious how those got the green light, for multiple seasons.

reply

Wait...you are comparing this *beep* to 30 Rock? You cannot be serious! Its like comparing apples and a pile of *beep*

reply

I'm saying everyone has a show (or shows) that they see on TV and go 'what the hell?'. 30 Rock is a comedy this show is a comedy. They both air Thursday nights on NBC. So, yes, I am comparing them and no it's not a crazy comparison.

I watch Community and if 100 Questions is on after it I might consider staying on NBC however when 30 Rock (or Parks & Rec's for that matter) comes on I change the channel.

If you are a 30 Rock fan go over to that forum and express your love don't try and tell me it's great. I've watched enough to know that I don't like it.

reply

Ok, 30 Rock has a special brand of humor...

but Parks and Rec? Have you watched since the first season? Cause it's now the best comedy on tv.

reply

I watched parts of episodes from this last season. I watched almost all of the episode with a stray possum (I think that's what it was) and I just thought it was ridiculous and not in a good way.

I think it's fine that people like these shows and 100 Questions isn't going to be on my list of must see TV either. I just don't think it's any worse than (many) other shows on NBC. As a whole NBC is a network that I watch less and less of. I love comedies and simply wish there were more of them that I found enjoyable.

danashulps, opinion may be opinion, but in this case you are not expressing one. You are misstating a fact. You are incorrect. Wrong. What you have said is false. The opposite of correct. As far from accurate as human expression and language will allow.

Wow. If you would like to contribute please turn your brain on first.

Personally, I thought pigeonstopper's comment was way better than that show...

I'm wondering how you mustered up the smarts to learn how to read and write!

Congrats! Stop eating the glue! I know it looks delicious, but it's not!

and it's bumping back parks and recreation, a far superior program, to 2 hours later. this pos has no place in the otherwise flawless nbc thursday night comedy block.
