Wrong Actors

I think this show could have been good, but the actors chosen for it are all wrong.

The episode that aired June 24th is probably the best example, in the scene where Wayne makes the suggestion of going to atlantic city, the actual dialog could have been funny but the pace it was done at (pretty fast) and the way the actors said it did it no justice. I feel if the same scene was done by 2 members of the How I Met Your Mother cast it would have had the effect that the writers intended. (I give that example partly because the show is a take-off of HIMYM's concept, and because I think NPH and another actor could have pulled that scene off perfectly)

thats just one of many examples in the series so far (assuming it isn't going to be cancelled), I dont think the current cast can pull it off and if it does get picked up for the fall I dont see them doing any better.

I don't have a problem with them. They seem entertaining enough.

Yeah, I dissagree completely, the actors are probably, the best part of the show, I would watch a Wayne spin-off in a second, they all seem prety genuin and funnny, the actors got down the whole I would love to go hang out with them down pat that Friends and How I met your mother does....the problem is that they try to do the How I met your mother/Grounded for life/Titus...flashback story telling, and have no idea how to intergrate it into the story.

The reason flashbacks can be funny(especialy in the black guy is suppose to be a main character), is that you make it a narrative and make it fell like a real storry so she should start the story he should in interrupt and say no way, really, etc.....otherwise her telling him the story at the begining of every episode makes no since, also if were going with the shows premisis the 1st episode should of focussed more on her going to the dating service.

Its a small problem if NBC gave it a year 2 then they could figure out the problems and improve, look at the Office or Parks&Rec year1 and look what their year 2 was like

I like the cast as well. It would have been nice to see them in a show that wasn't working against them

I think it has potential. Sophie Winkleman is utterly gorgeous, and the other actors are good as well. The one thing I would like them to do is lose the laugh track. I mean, there are laugh tracks and then there are laugh tracks, but these guys are like a kid with a new toy.

Totally agreed. Very first episode I watched that was my observation. I like the concept, stories, buuutttt the acting is BAD. Can't identify with the characters either.
