Can't wait to see this film. Hopefully it will do well at Sundance so that all of us regular folk can see it too.

A Serious Man- 9/10, In the Loop- 8/10
Just saw it at the Newport Film Festival. Thought it was a pretty darn good movie. I think it'll make it to the big screen, at least in a limited capacity for sure. Pretty powerful film-making for sure. Interesting to see the post traumatic effects on reporters for a change, we've seen plenty on soldiers, so it was refreshing. Great acting by all. I guess just one little thing that bugged me was that every single person looked like a model. There's quite a few random Russian peasant girls throughout, and they all looked like they would be on the cover of a Russian mail-order bride catalog. I dunno, just urked me a bit. I just got the feeling that those roles were filled by a horny casting director. Thought it also dragged just a bit at some points, but the producer mentioned there will be an additional 10 minutes of footage deleted after Newport, so I guess that'll take care of that. Worth the price of admission.
