Same style , same minimal dialogue but it wasnt bad but certainly not the best film of the year that the reviewer on the main page is ranting about - he must be a studio shill.

Average thriller with a nice backdrop but little else!
Clooney was a bad choice; it was as if he was just there to pickup the pay packet and enjoy a few days out from his villa in Lake Como!

Its time to play!

Bronson's Mechanic didn't have minimal dialogue. As for the similarities in style, I'm not seeing it. For me, the movies may as well be chalk and cheese. Not alike at all, apart from the assassin element.

Each to his own, the original Mechanic is one of my favourite films and this definitely was more like the original in its laid back style and portrayal of the hitman Mechanic than Jason Stathams limp effort!
