CBS killed this show

Three Rivers had an excellent chance of survival if only it had aired when it was supposed to. Most people are not going to hang around or set DVRs for 2 hours later than a show is scheduled to be on. The program was in network shuffling hell. It's a wonder ANYONE ever found it! And now it's canceled due to low ratings. DUH!!! Why didn't CBS at least give it a chance by putting it on a different night? I missed a lot of episodes because they were bumped back so far by ball games. No one is to blame for the low ratings except CBS. They obviously didn't care a whit about the show.

Maybe CBS should have moved this from Sunday to Saturday since Saturday is a lackluster night for programs.

Manifan1, you are so right. Why can't these networks get the hang of scheduling around football games (or golf, baseball, or whatever) NBC had a good idea, schedule a live Dateline, and then crop it to fit the space and then start the next show on time. Fox also had a good plan going for a while there, schedule reruns of the Simpsons or King of the Hill, and then yank them if the game goes over. Nobody is missing anything new, and everything else starts on time. I can't beleive the local affiliates put up with bumping the whole evening so that the local news is on at 11:30 or 12:00. If they can affect whether Jay Leno stays or goes, why can't they do something about sports programs going over?

I know exactly what you mean! I get so aggravated because of the scheduling being thrown off by sports. Personally, I think people that like sports should be able to watch them, but personally we don't care for them and want to be able to see our regular shows. I hate the fact that so many good shows like Moonlight, Three Rivers and many others get canceled for no good reason or because of delays due to sports. We try to determine when our shows are coming on after the sports, but it's hard sometimes.

My opinion is that the sports should be on the sports channels and the other shows on the network channels.

Wake up and realize that some of us like our regular programs. Put the sports on other channels so sports fans can watch them as much as they want and not mess up other good shows! The sports fans that also like these shows wouldn't have to miss them either.
