USA Release Date ? - This Must Be the Place (2011) Discussion

This film still doesn't have a US distributor. It is hard to believe isn't it? With all the crap that is released here one would hope that we hear something about a distributor and release date soon.

Yell i know, I personally want to see it because i had a small part in it, I've been in a couple more movies and a tv series since then and looks like i'll be able to see those before this one, How odd ? Hey take care and maybe soooooooon they'll find a distributor.

A movie with Sean Penn should find a distributor. But in this film world of action and super heroes small films are having a tough time. I liked the trailer very much. I hope that you get to see yourself in the film soon.

my guess is anytime between sept-dec 2012, so sean penn could end up being nominated for best actor in 2013.

acording to the french newspapers, weinstein have slated TMBTP to march 2012 release, no release date yet, possibly, they will slate it to later release date if the film is oscar potential

So weird that I am holding the Blu-ray in my hand (I live in Norway, bought it from Amazon UK) but the U.S. hasn't even had a theatrical release yet. Sad, sad, sad. The movie is so good! It really deserves better than this. Hope it does well at the Oscars.

"You could be oh so smart or oh so pleasant." For years I was smart. I recommend pleasant.

Naw, I def saw every scene of that film. I'd say I might be mistaken and could've torrented it but I remember seeing the ad for it over and over again in the on demand menu, searching for it as a torrent, not being able to find it and thinking fux it I'll pay the $10 or whatever to see it On Demand with what I presumed to be a "same day as theatrical" release but now realize it might've been an early release. Anyhow, I looked now and it's not on the menu so it must be gone. Now that it's been released in US though you can probably find it in DVD quality using Vuze. Good luck!
