Le Sacre du Printemps - complete?

This is a question that has burned since watching the film: Was the ballet filmed in 3D in its entirety, then cut to fit in the feature? It was so gorgeous, I'd give plenty to see it in full.
I guess the answer is 'no', but it's worth asking.
Maybe it would be on the extras of the DVD...

anyone know?

sadly not on the extras of the blu ray. Its possible that it was filmed in its entirety, there seems to be wideshots done with an audience. I have no idea if those wideshots were taken during an actual performance, but from what I remember the whole piece is about 40mins long, which budget wise its likely the Director would have decided beforehand exactly what sections he wanted to film and concentrate on.

The other thing is Dance Companies notoriously dont like entire works on film available to the public. There are exceptions of course with some DVD releases and one off broadcasts but its not common for Choreographers to agree to that.

But who knows, it would be wonderful if this footage did exist and did see the light of day sometime in the future, it is very beautifully shot.
