What exactly did Vincent think would happen...

I don't understand. He doesn't just say that he's gay and in love with a straight guy, it's his friend who's married to an other one of his friends. They're both friends with his wife as well. There are children involved not to mention the rest of the gang. What was Vincent hoping for when he came out to Max?

Perhaps he should have talked about it with someone else first but if he had this movie wouldn't have been the way it was and I LOVED IT just as it was. I was just asking this question throughout the movie...lol "Well what did you expect?!"
