would your friends leave you to go on vacation?

At first I thought, what a bunch of losers, they left their good friend in the hospital, clinging to life, as they went to the seashore for a carefree vacation. I also thought...MY friends would never do that to me. But then I began to question that assumption. I suppose I COULD be laid up and my friends COULD say, "oh let's go, she'll be fine." I thought leaving Ludo was unrealistic -- but one never knows. A bit off topic, but when my father died, none of my friends came to his funeral, and I'm speaking of friends I've had since early college days. So who knows when people will be there for you and when they won't...
