Why so many movies have sex scenes where the girl has sex with a bra on?

2. The actress is uncomfortable with doing nudity
I don't mean to impose, but I am the Ocean.
I understand the reasoning, but it's still very unrealistic, because next to nobody sleeps with a bra on when they're not in a shirt as well!
Compromise; have her wear a a shirt to bed, or shoot the scene cleverly so that no skin is exposed (from the neck up, a sheet covering the delicate body parts... whichever way)

I agree, to wear a bra is a bit silly. As you say do the scene where she is somewhat covered. We get they are having sex but with a bra on it seems as if neither is really into it.
shareagreed. also agreed that the scene was wooden and awkward. i wonder if the two actors got along at all as their chemistry was epic fail from the word go. poor casting on putting these two together, but sadly, that was hardly the worst thing about this miserable film. the worst thing was, i couldn't care less that she died - the writers never made us care for her character.
find these writers a job flipping burgers - please save us from another like this!

I'm a big opponent of sex while wearing underwear. Kate doesn't have breasts to begin with, so what is anyone going to see if she's not wearing a bra? A couple of Hershey's kisses sitting on her chest?

Well a lot of period movies & some current ones, solve it by having her wear a nice lace full slip or nightdress. We get the point--she is going to have sex or just had sex but there's no nudity. Actually pretty sexy in it's own way!!
