The disturbing thought of frightened children and their terrified parents!!

Aren't any other parents disturbed by the thought of how much Hell it would be for the poor children who are frightened by their loss of senses and the terror of their parents who are so desperate to take care of them, but can't because they can't even take care of themselves because they can't see or hear? It's a very well made movie and I gripped from start to end, but as a parent, this disturbing thought is quite haunting for me!

Yes! I was mentioning this to my husband, when the deafness started the children who can't yet read who have no way to understand.. maybe try by drawing pictures, but still. Then with blindness.. I kind of figured perhaps you could write words on the person's skin, difficult, but maybe possible... children would be so lost and confused.. The thought is terrifying.

I think everyone would feel that way. Regardless of age, losing hearing, sight, etc and plunged into a silent world of darkness - especially after having lived seeing and hearing - truly terrifying.

Brains are good, especially when sauteed with caramelized onions.

Same here. As a parents I also couldnt stop thinking the horror of young children and babies with nobody to take care od them or maybe worse, as victims of the "raging" parents.

It's probably why they left them out of the film almost completely, to focus on the couple instead of making it more terrifying.
