My Opinion of Richie

I just recently saw this episode on Richie. I cried because you can see the grief in his eyes, face, voice, slow walking. Grief can take way more than 2 years. Especially because he was not just his mothers caretaker, she was his mother.
He needs to get Melissa out of his life. He couldn't wait to show her what he had done to his mom's room and all Melissa said was, Is this it? you've done nothing. No emotional support at all! That is abuse. I felt the therapist helping him clean up should have started with regular trash instead of diving into his mother's belongings first.
Second, I wish with all my heart I knew this man. Because I have been there only he maintained a better, calmer talker. I think he should have had more therapy on grief first as he is cleaning. I just felt they threw Richie into the storm before preparing him before hand and mostly ignoring his grief.
