UK DVD announced

According to the UK Amazon site, Film Socialism will be released by the appropriately named New Wave Films on September 26, 2011 (though I suspect this is just a speculative release date for now, and the eventual release will probably be much later)

No word on subtitles or special features at this stage.

I can imagine the British film critic Mark Kermode is now biting his pink fists with rage after smugly declaring (from the comfort of the 2010 Cannes Festival) that NO UK distributor would ever release this film.

It'd be nice if Film Socialisme was distributed in the US at some point.

I'm a fan of cinema-as-seen-in-darkened-room-with-strangers-on-large-screen rather than DVD but, while thrilled to watch this in the cinema, am already looking forward to the DVD release so I can hit 'pause' to savour the great lines or do some research on the many references..
