'Draw straws' scene.

That was painfully dragging! OMG, I was on the verge of ripping the hair off my head. It was that frustrating to watch. I get that this is a 'slasher' type film where stupid characters are expected, but that was just too much! Chad suggests that they kill the guy, they draw straws, and the guy's girlfriend ends up drawing the shortest straw. Needless to say, she gets all emotional about it. This went on for more or less a minute or so. Chad then starts verbally pushing her to "just stick it in," etc. Why didn't he just do it himself, then? Oh, wait, it's coz he didn't draw the shortest straw--he says. Holy fk! And then what happens next? The guy gets away. Now there are two predators. Predictable.

Another Chad stupidity: Hetakes his infected girlfriend's teddy bear with him. The next time they saw each other, he tries to "reach" her. Wow! Just wow. Are you fkng kidding me?! The girl's got piranha teeth, for crying out loud! I get that she was supposed to be his girlfriend, but OMG how naive can you be?

seriously, if i was the girl i would have hacked chad up with the machete and let the predators chew on him while i'm running away.

I can only presume it does hurt to meet people smarter than yourself. I feel sorry for you.

If you hadn't figured out this film was a comedy by that point, then yes I can see how the characters dumb decisions would seem infuriating.

I used to have 'the' Willem Dafoe living under my bed.

I agree it was a dark comedy

It's not listed as one. It's listed only as horror.

LOL! "I know you can fight it Mel. It's me Chad" Just laughable!🐭

She wasn't his girlfriend, though I totally get the confusion because it took me some time to tell Anja and Kris apart. Up to that point, Anja (the brooding final girl character who drew the short straw) was possibly linked to the geeky Warren whereas Dace (the guy they wanted to kill) was flirting with Kris, who seemed more giddy and flaky. I got the sense that Anja was just an assistant to Dace on his thesis and nothing more, but the movie doesn't make the connection really clear. What amused me was how instant Kris was in favor of killing her love interest, but at least the movie did the second most cliché thing in having Anja the most humane of the trio attempt to do it instead of Kris the love interest.

Chad WAS ridiculous, even at the beginning when he was pretty much in so many words calling his girlfriend a slut even though he participated in sex with her right at the camp with the rest of them present. Him telling her to have some dignity was the pot calling the kettle black.
