The Phantom serial 1940s

Has anyone seen the serial version of the Phantom? It stuck pretty close to the comics, with but one variation, The Phantom was not named Kit Walker, but everything else was close, takes place in a jungle, Ghost who Walks, Man who never dies, and an authentic costume.

He did call himself Mr. Walker after becoming the Phantom, though. When the serial was created, the alias of Kit Walker had not yet been used in the comic, I believe.

I love the serial!

I've seen it - in fact, it's the only adventure serial I've ever watched all the way through. Like all serial heroes, The Phantom is a little weaker than you might expect so as to keep the story going through all the episodes, but it's fun. I especially remember The Phantom battling a giant white gorilla.

What's the Spanish for drunken bum?

It wasn't a white gorilla, it was a giant gorilla who had a key to a map around his neck. The key was part of a treasure map. The guy who played the Phantom, Tim Tyler, is also the guy who did a remarkable portrayal of Captain Marvel.

Never depend on anything and you will never be disappointed.
