Parkour is becoming rather cliché

But you don't see me complaining!

I'm extremely happy many recent movies include it. Not because I am that into it (although it is very, very cool - had I discovered it when I was younger, I would definitely have gone into it, just to play ninja), but it is very much a product of this time, one of the things I will associate the '00s and '10s with. Years from now, looking back at the movies from this era, the sight of parkour will make me extremely nostalgic. I appreciate that. It will remind me of what was likely a better time (or so you always think).

I introduced this non-sport to a friend of mine years ago, and he's still performing parkour today, 5 or 6 years later. Heh, he even mentioned me in an interview he did in a newspaper. Not by name, but he still acknowledged me. Chances are he would eventually have discovered it himself, but it still makes me feel really good about myself. I showed him something he has practically lived for this long, and seem likely to do for many years more. It will always have been a huge part of his life, and I helped with that.

Cool Story.

One thing tho, at least in this movie Kitt was a practitioner of Parkour. It would be like your friend suddenly finding a real life and death use for his fitness and skill, as opposed to you or I suddenly getting all Parkour out of the blue.

I really appreciated how Kitt wasn't some kind of super hero, but an average human who happened to be into some dangerous hobbies that stood him in good stead when he HAD to become a super hero.

Why, hello there Spilt!

Good point. I agree. It makes everything feel much more plausible.
