I Personally Really Liked It...

This is one of those guilty pleasure movies of mine. I found it randomly while searching "shark movies". My first reaction was "WTF" but I watched it again with my bf and actually enjoyed it. Not the best acting but I liked the actors and the storyliine was pretty interesting.
I would suggest this movie to anyone is stuck inside on a rainy/boring day.

I liked it, too. It surprised me.

Agree, it's really not a bad movie at all.

Same here. An original film for once, nice babes, decent acting, intelligent characters. Not a bad flick at all. Enjoyed it.

I Loved It.It Was Exactly What I Knew It Was.I Wasn't Looking For A Cerebral Experience,Just Pure Popcorn,And It Doesn't Disappoint.

Not great but it was cool to see once.

Yeah totally agree. Actually really enjoyed it. I think we all know it's not exactly the greatest film ever made, but for a fun, tongue in cheek action movie, it's really entertaining. They clearly set out with the goal of making a decent fun flick and they definitely succeeded. We need more movies like this. Good times!

I don't think you have to feel too guilty about liking this one. I thought they did a great job with the genre they set out to capture. Sure, they stuck a bit close to the well-worn paths, but that in itself is a kind of comfort food, and though the premise was a bit cornball they span a pretty good story out of it. And I thought it was entertaining and pretty well made.

I was interested to see that this was co-written by Russell Mulcahy, the guy who directed Razorback, a favourite of mine among creature features and another Aussie flick.

You might very well think that. I couldn't possibly comment.

With Mulcahy involved, it was going to be fun. Yes, Razorback is the ultimate man-eating hog movie, but Highlander is probably his best work. I saw Bait about a year ago and was surprised by how much I liked this little unknown movie, but just found it again on demand, and THIS time I saw Mulcahy's name at the end, in the writing credits, as well as producing. That explains it. Good show!

Same here. This movie was enjoyable. The finally shark killing was a little cheesy though.

I too enjoyed this movie. Based on the reviews on Amazon a lot of people really liked it and it was cheap on blu-ray and bought it. I love movies where you don't expect all that much but then it turns out to be entertaining. It's much better than those god awful Jaws sequels and other huge production shark films. The acting was decent and the effects were good. The valley girl with the dog I did not like at first but by the end, when she got her dog back I did. I have recommended it to others and most end up liking it to.
