Van Damme has done better films than this

Honestly, I did not find this film to be good. I thought it was quite boring at times and Van Damme turned in a more lifeless performance than usual. To me, Van Damme is at his worst acting-wise when he displays little to no emotion, like in this film and The Hard Corps. I will not understand how this film gets a higher ratings than films like Hard Target, Sudden Death, Maximum Risk, and a majority of his other theatrical work.
As far as his direct-to-video filmography goes, I think JCVD has made better films, like The Order, Replicant, In Hell, Wake of Death, Until Death, The Shepherd: Border Patrol, and Six Bullets.
If you like the film, that's fine, but I don't understand what there is to like about the film.
