Why do the smugglers enter the parade?

Carnival had already started when they made the plan, there were too many people around and they would have seen them illegally transporting birds. Plus the float was crappy anyway so it's not like it took that much time.

they did it because the streets are closed for the parade and this was the fastests (only) way to get the birds to the airport in town.
