Too much pointless crap that went no where

Was it really necessary to add the estranged son subplot nonsense? It literally went no where, it was just a piss poor attempt at a plot twist and nothing more. Also what the hell was christopher loyd doing in this chick flick? Oh how the mighty have fallen... He too also went no where, it's like they just threw him in there for sh!#s and giggles.

Anyway this movie was pretty bad, but I did think it picked up near the end, by then you are acclimated to all the bad acting so you notice it less and just accept it. Still a fairly bad movie, even by chick flick standards.
