What Was the Better Strategy to Beat Naritsugu's Army of 200?

I have seen this movie a few times. Regardless of how the script was written, I thought the strategy to assassinated Naritsugu should have been more precise.

Any opinions or suggestions from the audience?

Here's what I wrote in 2011 from the "Wouldn't it have been easier" topic:

If I was them I wouldn't even bother with arrows. They had EXPLOSIVES! Lob one at the lording and BOOM! Mission Complete.

They also could of set off the explosives on the bridge when he was on it.

They could of squashed him with the walls.

Or burnt down the village while he was trapped inside.

Lastly if they were that desperate to die, go strap the bombs on one person and go medieval suicide bombing!

That would have shorten the movie.

Yes and the movie suggests that arrows and explosives aren't ultimately the "honourable" means of assassination by samurai. So even though it may not have been the "best military strategy" to lay down the bows and stop blowing things up, this was always likely to occur.🐭

Ninjas.

Dude likes raping women in solitude. Just send in a woman ninja disguised as a courtesan. They're alone, he tries to rape/beat her, she kills him with a poison hairpin or ring or with her bare hands, then commits suicide.

Ninjas also have many other ways of killing, discretely, by surprise.

Quick, easy, no fuss.
