Has to get an 8 at least.. not a single character in d entire muvi is wasted ... definitely an 8 ... balls to those who give it 2/10 ...

9 from my side, I must say this is a very intelligent movie.

Problem is most of the moviegoers in India are not fond of such intelligent films they just want 9 songs in a movie, a girl in bikini with no other work in movie, and some cheap car exploding action scenes.

I saw it last night and there were around 20 people in theater including me. lol

Deserves a bit more..around 8 (avg rating i.e)!!

2009 hindi cinema in my eyes (the best this year IMO):
Luck by chance- 9/10
Dev.D- 9/10
Gulaal- 9/10
Wake Up Sid- 8/10
Rocket Singh- 9/10
3 idiots- 9.5/10 (what a frigging awesome film man!!)

Yet to see Aagey Se Right & Paanch (yes, i got the preview copy).

The ratings given are purely my own opinion.

I gave it an 8 on first viewing too! :) Absolutely loved the film, and it's one of my favorites of this year, along with Kaminey, Wake Up Sid, Luck By Chance, and Dev D.

I thought it was an excellent movie one of the three best along with 'Wake Up Sid' and '3 Idiots'. I gave it 8/10.

I think people with certain mindset will understand this movie and get to enjoy it. It's not for people who liked 'Blue', 'Love Aaj Kal' or 'Kambakkht Ishq'.

I would definitely buy the genuine DVD.

Definately one of the growing number of alternate cinema films india has been making and ones which are finding growing audiences in the Cineplex Scene. This one sits well along films like Dev D, Luck By Chance, Oye Lucky, Wednesday etc., these may not be the masala filled things like Love Aaj Kal etc but they are ones which will be appreciated by most middle-class indians to foreigners..
