Did 'Paa' and '3 Idiot' spoil this great film's chances?

Truth be told, I loved this film. I would equate it as one of the best films of the year, along with Dev D, Kaminey, Gulaal and Luck By Chance...but tell me one thing, was the release of '3 Idiots' and 'Paa' responsible for the film's boxoffice failure...
I mean, I watched Rocket Singh in its first weekend and to be honest, my theater had a fairly good crowd, almost 85% full. So, by that measure, I think people had enjoyed the film....many also felt that they could relate to the film. But somehow, in the next two weeks, '3 Idiots' came and it conquered all records.
And already 'Paa' was getting strong word of mouth.
Don't get me wrong...i like Paa for its unique theme, its visual presentation and Amitabh's dedicated acting while 3 Idiots had some stellar comedy but 'Rocket Singh' is completely in a different league....
