Seriously, what should have been a good film was just DUMB!

I mean, how many people were there??? EIGHT was it? Why did they not just overpower those morons when they came into the house? All timid and wimpy and weepy? FFS what the hell? Only TWO of them were there at the start. (The one brother was seriously injured.) So why did the people in that group of eight not charge at these fools? The four men could have overpowered them. So they had guns, so what? They couldn't shoot all of the group at the same time.

Moreover, why did they not take the opportunity to expose them when the police came to the door? I would have screamed at the top of my lungs? Why wouldn't you? These people were aggressive and violent thugs who were hurting them anyway, and were probably going to kill them, so why did they not take their chances then?

As for the mother, I would have knocked the b1tch out! Annoying cow.

Bit stupid really. :(

The acting was good and all, but the very idea that this crowd of people could not have overpowered the 2 men at the beginning, and at least screamed when the police were there, is just daft really.

AGREED! I came here to say EXACTLY what you did!

In fact, at one point Ike went off with Beth to get money from the ATMs - couldn't 7 people overpower an old lady who didn't look like she had any super strength, a dying boy, and a ding-dong mentally ill girl?!?!?!? Only the psycho brother was left there with the gun, and he seemed preoccupied half the time!!

Why not send one of the sexy ladies to pretend to 'seduce' him - that psycho is so sexed up, he'd have followed her anywhere!!!

It's so stupid that the black guy finally wanted to do 'something' but nobody wanted to! Sheesh! They were ALREADY being violent and brutal and you STILL want to follow their orders?!?

They only began doing 'something' at the end - when it was too late!!!

And btw, it was REALLY REALLY stupid that the black guy stumbles out blind and shoots his wife - really too dumb to be believable. And what about Beth falling on whatever Ike threw at her in the laundry mat?!? Stupid. Why didn't Beth drive away when Ike got out of the car to kill the cop? Why didn't she run away when Ike was busy with the two girls at the ATM? Why didn't those two girls just take the knife and lunge at Ike? He was close to them at one point.

ALL the characters had multiple chances to get away but chose not to - even when the black girl ran out, and Beth's hub was sent to get her - i mean WTF?!?!? WHAT idiotic kidnapper/murderer sends a victim out to get another victim who escaped?!?! STOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOPID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Both victims would run away - like hello!?? Only here, Beth's hub was so stupid he actually dragged the black girl back!! HOW dumb can you get?!?

It's UNBELIEVABLE that the psycho bro had already killed one of the girls - and yet they go on believing they'll be safe if their followed these psychopath's instructions!! And bringing the black girl back was just imbecilic.

At the very least, Beth's hub and the black girl could've called the police - THEN come back or whatever - what the heck would going back achieve when you're already out and the police don't even know you need help!??

AND the doctor guy - he was in the kitchen or near enough where there are TONS of knives just sitting there - and he doesn't take a few and find a way to plunge them into the baddies?!?

Seems like this bunch of people were really acting stupid. I know some things are easier said than done - sure - but it's just so unbelievable that anyone will continue trusting these psychos!!!

They had the NUMBERS on their side - and yet they didn't do anything. They passively sat and watched, and in the end so many of them were either killed or tortured.

And another thing - what murder or kidnapper bothers to ask the victim to take a pregnancy test?!?!? DUMBEST THING EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yeah i get that the mother couldn't have any children - but she's in the middle of some heist murder thing - it's NOT believable anyone would care about a pregnancy test! The mother should've just trusted her - and yeah giving a speech to her about being a mother is well, stupid. I know in many of the scenes - like loved ones betraying each other - we are supposed to be impressed with the irony - but honestly it just came across as cheesy and dumb instead.

You are so correct with your assessment. What gets me is the Doctor had the crazy girl wrapped around his finger and he didn't try to take her gun. Several times the Mother was standing very close to the victims and not one of them tried to take her guns. As for the sons, I'm so tired of watching movies only to see the criminals out think everyone, out muscle everyone as if they're superhuman. I just felt there was way too much unreal BS in this movie to be realistic. The movie was fine if you want to accept for what it is but in real life this would of played out totally different. There was no logic displayed in this movie at all. Seriously, a police office comes to your house and ask you to blink twice if something is wrong and you don't??? Obviously, the cop would of called for backup if he was smart enough to ask you that on the down low. When film makers create these movies they make it seem like the characters never watched movies before. The Victims should of known they would of gotten killed regardless of what they done because they saw the criminals faces. So why not fight for your life.
