Rebecca de Mornay was brilliant in this

Amazing performance. I'm impressed.

The darkest places in hell are reserved for those who maintain neutrality in times of moral crisis.

I caught the 2nd half of this movie last night and I have to fully agree. I didn't even recognize her. She was so mean in this role even more so to me than "Hand That Rocks the Cradle." She felt truly evil and I really couldn't stand her in this movie. She was so believably cruel that many parts were hard to watch.

Her performance was the best thing about this (not saying much, I know) as it did bring back some of the campy charm from the original that this one was missing.

Agreed. Has to be one of my favorite horror villain performances

She was great plain and simple! Her character truly enjoyed the pain and horror her children inflicted upon their victims.

She was really good!! her getting hit in the bathroom though

NO WAY she survives that.

Oh bad writing.
