Matt was robbed!!

Is this a cooking show or a science class?

The final challenge was inappropriate for this competition on several levels.

1. FLAVOR - the entire show they talk about flavors winning, but there was no room for flavor differences in the egg recipes, because they had to follow a scientific recipe to the letter or it wouldn't work. No wonder they both tasted the same!

2. CREATIVITY - Absolutely NONE on the final challenge. Again, follow the 5-page recipe to the letter or it won't work.

3. SOUL - Again, absolutely NONE in the final challenge. It was just a difficult set of techniques that no one knew prior to the challenge. Miss one of the 100 steps (they were very proud to count them) and you're done.

4. Five and a Half hours????? Come on, this was just being difficult for the sake of being "the hardest challenge ever!!" The end result was basically one egg stayed shut and the other one opened. OH my! It opened! What a travesty, the total illusion of an egg is ruined. Come on, this is a gimmicky dessert and not appropriate for a true cooking challenge.

5. EXTRA POINTS on DESSERT!! Matt's up by 3 points, but guess what? There are four "judges" in the final challenge. He loses by one point each and that's a FOUR point difference. It was just anti-climactic that the judges were giving so much credit to the egg staying shut.

I would award this season to Matt based on his final few challenges. That he "lost it" on a silly dessert re-creation is a travesty.

have to agree for the most part. the end challenge would end up being just the same result and wouldn't show off their talent in freestyling a dish
